All-Time Greatest Anime Couples
Let’s look at the top anime couples of all time in detail.
Kurisu and Okabe are the first two characters.
True love is defined as a feeling that exists beyond of time and place. In addition, regardless of their circumstances, fate will bring two individuals together. Makise Kurisu and Okabe Rintaro, as well as many others in the fields of time travel, science, and love, have proved this theory. Steins; Gate is known for its engaging narrative, which revolves on a group of friends or lab members who discover how to send text messages back in time.
In a chance meeting, scientist Makise Kurisu, who is visiting Japan for a conference, meets a student from the university Okabe. A message saves her and she immediately bonds with him owing to their common interest in science. While they first quarrel over one other, owing to their studies and hard hours in the lab, they eventually fall in love.
If things become very bad, Okabe races against the clock to save his family members, especially Kurisu, even if it means he has to do it over and over again to keep her alive.
Their real feelings are shown in one moment in the lab, when they kiss and express their everlasting love for one other. Kurisu is also a wonderful lover to Okabe, and the two bond despite the powers of destiny and other worldlines attempting to break them apart.
Yuuri and Victor are the second couple.
Viktor and Yuuri are a couple that were born to make history. In a world full with programs with suggested sexual relationships, Viktor and Yuuri of Yuri On Ice stand out as a genuine pair. Not only do their conversations seem genuine, but their affection for one another is apparent throughout their trip.
Viktor gives Yuuri the confidence he needs to achieve, allowing him to realize his full potential. Yuuri has fallen in love with Viktor and realizes that they need one other. Throughout the series, they establish an extremely healthy and mutually beneficial relationship. The pair doesn’t simply “write history,” as the saying goes. The pair is a real-life example of a non-confrontational LGBTQ partnership.
3. Otani and Risa Kozumi
When it comes to finding a mate, there are always societal expectations and norms that define what individuals consider to be a “good fit.” It may be anything from a person being the first to approach a lady to “popular” students dating each other.
It’s the problem of “height” in the scenario between Risa and Otani, and disputing the idea that one should be taller. Risa Otani and Risa Otani are two students who have a strong friendship and many interests in common. Risa is the tallest of the females in the class, while Otani is the shortest among the boys. They make a great team and are often referred to as the classroom’s comic relief.
Despite their “height” disparities, Risa develops an infatuation on Otani despite many opportunities to be with other ladies. In many respects, the two are a great fit. A heated disagreement evolves into a genuine romance, and the couple emphasizes the significance of defying preconceptions and conventions.
They’re also charming as an anime couple, especially when they rave over their favorite foods, rappers, and other enjoyable events throughout the year. Even though Otani may be harsh at times, he adores Koizumi and the two make an excellent fit.
4. Taiga Aisaka & Ryuuji Takasu
The Toradora’s Ryuuji and Taiga are considered as one of the most popular romantic anime couples, with a well-known love square and a beautiful pair of posters. Ryuuji is a high school student with a frightening appearance who is linked to Taiga Aisaka, a tiny yet vicious character. However, things get more complicated when they encounter partners who do not react to their emotions.
Ryuuji does his hardest to become friends with Taiga and care for her until she warms up, despite the fact that they are not in a good relationship. Taiga is a tsundere, or someone who seems frigid at first but warms up with time. Their bond is genuine and adorably lovely.
5. Koko Kaga and Banri Tada
Toradora’s designers have created an enticing romance that is appropriate for both adults and students who have just started college. Golden Time focuses on individuals just starting their university experience, while most anime concentrates on interactions between high school students. Banri, who is overwhelmed by the sheer number of courses and activities, runs across Koko one day, who is carrying a floral arrangement.
They don’t get along at first, like Ryuuji and Taiga. They do, however, eventually open up to one another’s affection. Despite the fact that Banri is trying to recall memories he has forgotten and Koko is grieving the loss of a previous friend who has abandoned her, they find themselves on the same life path and compliment each other.
Shinra Shinra Shinra Shinra Shinra Shinra Shinra Shinra Shinra Shinra Shinra
Few people think that unusual pairings are the most successful; Celty x Shinra, for example, is proof of this. Durarara! is a strange anime series that depicts the lives of a diverse group of individuals in Ikebukuro. Celty Sturluson is a fairy in search of a mate. She uses a helmet cover to conceal her “headless” look. She didn’t come to Japan, though, and Shinra Kishitani, an underground doctor, has been researching her and, eventually, falling in love with her.
Celty is unable to communicate verbally, but she does it via text texts. She has also developed a fondness for the doctor. Her interactions with Celty are simply lovely, in my opinion. They were meant to be together and compliment each other wonderfully, despite a few slip-ups and snoops along the road.
Umetarou Nozaki & Chiyo Sakura
What would you do if you attempted to ask your crush out and made a horrible error? Gekkan Shoujo When Chiyo, a high school girl, decides to proclaim her love for Nozaki, Nozaki-Kun takes this idea to a new level. Nozaki gives her an autograph when she has worked up the confidence, much to her dismay. Then it’s revealed that Nozaki is a well-known shoujo manga creator.
Sakura takes over as Nozaki’s assistant, and the two form a beautiful “friendship.” Despite the fact that Nozaki is generally ignorant of Sakura’s feelings for his character, the two seem to be married. He may develop emotions for her as time passes, but we’ll have to wait for another season to find out.
Yoko Littner and Kamina
Gurren Lagann is regarded as an anime classic, with well-developed characters and a fascinating, wild world under the surface. Simon and Kamina encounter Yoko, a female sharpshooter, as they depart their subterranean community. Yoko is initially drawn to her; however, Kamina is a playboy who executes her moves fast, much to Yoko’s chagrin. Both find true love and affection for one another as time passes. In the field, they even exchange kisses. Their extroverted personalities complement each other well, and they make an excellent pair on the program.
9. Nia & Simon
There is another pair that stands out in the show, in the spirit of Gurren Lagann. Simon, the primary character, is an introverted, timid kid who is sometimes pushed. However, as time goes, his character develops tremendously, as he gains confidence. He meets Nia, a beautiful girl who grows into a strong character, as a result of his strange experiences. Nia learns from Simon and Dai Gurren’s strength, despite her inability to understand human nature. After that, Simon proposes to her, and they marry in an emotional moment.

Mine, like many of her tsundere friends from other series, starts off harsh and frigid before eventually warming up to the main character. Both are aware of the need of defending each other during fights in Night Raid and beyond in their jobs as assassins. Mine shows a different side of herself when she’s with Tatsumi, and the two share a unique bond despite the catastrophe that has torn Night Raid apart.

Their relationship grows in fits and starts, then slows down. The idea of a character-couple increased the tension between them, making for compelling watching.
59. Rukia and Ichigo
I’d like to point out that the anime series “Bleach” is about much more than romance. The delicateness and tension shown by Ichigo and Rukia, on the other hand, must be experienced to be completely appreciated.
Apart from their shared destiny. The difficulties that these two anime beauties face are enough to keep them swinging back and forth. Reconnecting with one another regardless of the circumstances is an indication of the couple’s deep love and desire for one another.
Mikasa and Eren (60)
Their connection is diametrically opposed. She has trouble expressing her emotions, while the other is not scared to voice his opinion on a regular basis. There’s also a maturity difference, as they act more like parents and children than love partners.
Victor and Yuuri, No. 61
Yuuri and Victor were the first homosexual pair to be featured here, and with good reason. Finally, “couples” refers to a broad variety of partnerships. The anime “Yuri On Ice,” which is about sports, had a realistic coupling in the shape of these two.
As is their connection, their exchanges are extremely genuine. They share a deep bond, and one of them pushes the other to be the greatest.
Kurisu and Okabe, No. 62
The obstacles are many and complicated; nevertheless, their love prevails despite the circumstances. These two individuals were drawn together by a common interest in science. The plot revolves on text messages that transcend time and place, as well as the possibilities that they open up.
Kurisu is a visiting scientist, and Okabe is a student at the same institution, thus they share an age difference. Long hours in the lab and fascinating findings placed the two on a collision course towards love.
Chihiro and Haku (Chihiro and Haku) (Chihiro and Haku) (
The duo isn’t really a romantic couple in the traditional sense. But love comes in many forms, and this youthful bond between a young Chihiro and a mythical spirit named Haku deserves to be recognized. The anime’s pair made it through a surreal world and took care of each other in the process.
Shirayuki and Zen Wistalia (64).
It’s a classic fairytale scenario, with the male protagonist holding the title of prince. The female protagonist isn’t simply a young woman who has issues with her father. She’s a herbalist with ambitions and aspirations. The prince isn’t a blank slate with a big financial account. He’s a great buddy with whom you can strike up a conversation. If the characters are interesting on their own, they will be much more so as a pair.
Inori and Shuu are 65 years old.
He’s captivated from the moment he meets her, and while she’s reluctant to admit it at first, she’s feeling the same way.
But for what purpose, I’m not sure, because Shuu is a very uninteresting guy. Their connection, on the other hand, is a possibility, and the sad conclusion is a wonderful opportunity to put previous events into perspective for more emotional effect.
66. Casca and Guts
Casca and Guts don’t have the best of relationships. Even still, it’s a sad and horrifying story. After falling in love with one another, getting rejected, and growing increasingly reliant on one another, they eventually lose it and have their whole life turned upside down.
However, since Casca refuses to speak to Guts, and because their relationship is based only on love, he is determined to assist and repair the harm done to her at all costs, even if it seems impossible.
Red Blood Cells and White Blood Cells, No. 67
AE3803 is the primary character in Cells at Work. U-1146, a merciless white blood cell that is an important component of your immune system, is a slow red blood cell that is freshly minted. AE3803, like red blood cells, transports oxygen and other nutrients throughout the body. U-1146 is the polar opposite of U-1145. It protects blood vessels while also removing dangers. Despite the fact that their relationship isn’t canon, they often connect and have the nicest exchanges, verging on romance.
Yuno and Charmy (#68)
On paper, Yuno and Charmy seem to be an unusual couple. Charmy, on the other hand, has a huge crush on Yuno. She regards him as her prince, and she will feed him at any opportunity. Similarly, Yuno is usually nice and charming, but he never interacts with anybody else. Their relationship is based on mutual affection, and they form the cutest pair.
Yami and Charlotte, 69.
Yami is a simple and modest guy who is wise when it comes to matters of the heart. Charlotte, on the other hand, is a confident woman who leads an all-female staff. Charlotte had fallen in love with Yami after she helped her escape their spell. But she’ll never confess to him in front of him, and Yami is unlikely to notice. Whatever the case may be, whenever the two are together, they produce some of the cutest and funniest moments.
Junko and Kyousuke are 70 years old.
It’s an animated cartoon about the negative elements of love relationships and their negative consequences. If that’s the case, Junko and Kyosuke are the perfect foils.
Should they ever engage in any kind of relationship, they connect and cooperate in harmony, working out their differences in a calm and peaceful manner. Because of their connection with their own, they often find themselves needing to advise others.
71. Zenitsu and Nezuko
Zenitsu falls in love with Nezuko from the first time he sees her, despite his concerns of Demons. He has attempted many times to get Nezuko to marry him. When she arrives, he always shows his affection for her, although aggressively and sneakily. They do, however, develop a relationship based on mutual respect and appreciation for one another later on. During the course of the program, they would eventually marry.
Tanjiro and Kanao, 72.
When I first see Kanao, she seems to be extremely direct and without emotional expressiveness. Tanjiro is the one who encourages her to open up her heart and express her true emotions. From then on, their love for one another becomes stronger. After the tale concludes, they marry and have children.
73. Sango and Miroku
InuYasha is a must-see for anybody who like romance with a dash of adventure. Miroku and Sango are one of the cutest anime couples you’ll ever come across. They’re precisely what YaYa means when she says “sweet.”
Sure, I believe they’re both nice to one other, and I think women will like their relationship.
74. Misaki and Akihiko
It delves into the lives of many LGBTQ characters who have become icons in the genre of romantic anime pairings.
The anime takes its inspiration from the manga series of the same name, and it gives viewers an emotional look at sexual interactions as well as the difficulties of accepting and opening oneself.
Misaki Takahashi is the show’s most popular love couple. Hiroki Kamijou and Nowaki Kusama’s additions to the series were also well received by fans. Yoh Miyagi and Shinobu Takatsuki have a devoted following as well.
Alzack and Bisca Connell, 75.
It’s a beautiful pair, and the fact that they’re married is a bonus. The wedding on Fairy Tale looked like it was from a rock star period, which I thought was great. Check out their wedding on Fairy Tale if you’re searching for wedding inspiration.
Kazuya and Chizuru (76)
The program Rent-a-Girlfriend follows Kazuya, a guy who gets rejected and then forced to pay for false dates. Chizuru is his next-door neighbor and an expert in her field.
When Chizuru agrees to see Kazuya’s grandmother in the hospital, the situation becomes more difficult. Soon after, the two learn that their grandparents are close and want to marry.
Natsu and Lucy (Natsu and Lucy) (Natsu and Lucy) (Natsu and Lucy
Natsu and Lucy are a pair that would do everything for one other if it weren’t for the fact that they haven’t declared their love. Even if the three magical words are never uttered, some love tales are breathtaking. NaLu is a narrative about a love-filled relationship as well as a romantic friendship romance.
78. Touka Kirishima and Ken Kaneki
To be honest, this is the one thing that made me want to watch the last season. When Touka was originally shown to be a total badass who was also protecting Kaneki, things became interesting.
Then things got a little strange when the table forgot it was the table. It did, however, create a breathtaking tableau when Haise and Touka first “met.” When the situation became critical. Touka was the one who gave Kaneki the guts to keep going great. It’s the biggest endorsement of love one can find in the Shonen world.
79. Kinana and Cobra
Cobra and Kinana from Fairy Tale, in my opinion, should be included on this list. It’s a testimony to the caliber of characters created by Fairy Tale. I am certain that it will be regarded as a timeless masterpiece in the history books.
I believe it’s a fantastic series that I like in every way. It allows you to play games in your mind. It’s ideal for unwinding and getting away from the world for a while.
Elfman Strauss and Evergreen, No. 80
Fairy Tale is a fantastic series because of the characters, such as Elfman and Evergreen. The love story of the pair may be tracked. It’s got a little bit of everything and is a great source of drama.
81. Misa And Light
Their connection is tense and clumsy to say the least. Even if they are a terrible example of a “anime couple,” the appeal of these characters cannot be overlooked.
Ban and Elaine (#82)
Ban and Elaine are diametrically opposed, yet they have a lot in common. Their physical interactions are nearly tangible.
Consider Ban, a cunning thief, falling in love with Elaine, a delicate fairy. He never loses sight of a previous sweetheart, even if he is currently emotionally engaged with her.
He rescues Elaine and goes over and above to save her. As a result, anime focuses on telling emotional tales rather than breaking characters. Despite the fact that their relationship is just temporary, Lao Tzu famously said, “the flame that burns twice as bright burns half the time.”
Goku and Chichi (#83)
This is the cutest anime pair you’ll ever come across. Goku and Chichi appear to be gazing into each other’s eyes all of the time. Maybe that’s why they’re so popular in anime. They can be found in Dragon Ball.
84. Hiro and Zero Two
Hiro and Zero Two have been pals for a long time. Over time, Zero Two developed love emotions for Hiro. Hiro’s apparent dread of becoming more human and her desire to be completely human caused the pair to fall apart. Their relationship was deteriorating, but through long-forgotten memories, they were able to reconnect with their youthful love.
Rin and Shirou (ninety-five)
Shirou and Rin were the primary reason I watched Fate/Stay Night because of their bond. Unlimited Blade Works lacked the enthralling quality of Fate/Zero. Even though Shirou may be a little self-insert at times, their connection is fascinating and excellent.
Rin’s fast wit created literature, and her witty wit rescued the day. Rin is one of the most well-known and well-liked characters in both the anime and visual novel worlds for this reason.
86. James and Jessie
The pair is a colorful and well-known group for their catchphrases and appearances, both in anime and in real life.
The program often refers to their relationship, sometimes in a lighthearted manner, but more frequently in a romantic light. But, at the end of the day, they are a pair that can’t live apart.
Mitsuha and Taki, 87.
When Your Name was released, the world went crazy. It is Makoto Shinkai’s most well-known film, and it recounts the tale of two star-crossed lovers.
In one of the most animated films ever produced, they get connected to one other’s world and want to get to know one another.
Shiki and Mikiya are 88.
With Mikiya’s assistance, Shiki might have gone on a long-ago homicidal spree. But she promised him that she would not murder the underserved or the human. Regardless of the circumstances, she continues to live by these words.
Their connection is central to the story, which is frequently concealed behind the scenes but pushed to the fore in the conclusion. They get along well professionally as well as personally. They are able to be more open and honest with one another as a result of this.
Holo and Kraft (ninety-nine)
In Spice and Wolf, the interaction between Holo and Kraft is one of the most well-written and amusing ever seen in anime. They are consistently amusing, loving, and profoundly imperfect.
Meruem and Komugi (number 90)
Meruem was made possible thanks to Komugi. In Gungi, Komugi was a tiny sweetie and a genuine hot geek.
Even before the bird incident, I could see Meruem’s affection for Komugi.
Kazuma and Megumin (ninety-one)
Megumin and Kazuma have always had a fantastic friendship. The only one who really appreciated Megumin’s explosive magic was Kazuma.
He escorted her to the targets, evaluated her, and provided her with a piggy. They seem to be a really entertaining pair.
Meliodas and Elizabeth Liones are 92.
They pushed the concept of “tragic lovers” to new levels. To get you started, they’re both cursed. Every time Elizabeth dies, Meliodas must continue to live and fall in love with her. Their love stays strong and unbroken after the catastrophe, even after Elizabeth has recovered her memories.
93. Akane and Ranma
Ranma and Akane were fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to have their parents arrange their wedding. This meant they’d be allowed to marry later in life and carry on the Tendo Dojo’s tradition.
Krillin and Android 18 (94.
Even if you believe in the love cliché of foes becoming lovers, Krillin and Android 18 are a strange pair. Despite the fact that they met under terrible circumstances, Krillin was enthralled with Android 18 within seconds. Krillin is a gentle and quiet companion of Android 18, who is aggressive and stubborn.
Shikamaru and Temari (ninety-five)
Temari and Shikamaru are the most misunderstood pair in the series. They had never met before on a battlefield. Shikamaru beat Temari, but they were vanquished in the end. They became closer as they started to work together and ultimately married.
Minato and Kushina (ninety-six)
Minato and Kushina are two distinct, self-assured, and ambitious individuals that complement each other wonderfully. Kushina, who is eccentric and feisty, and Minato, who is calm and fun, are a great combination. Their wedding moments are touching.
Armin and Annie, 97.
In the Attack on Titan Universe, Annie and Armin have an unusual connection. In a world full with conflicts and sad deaths, love has very little space to bloom. The exception to the norm might be Annie and Armin.
98. Jellal and Erza
Erza had a childhood buddy named Jellal. After they were both imprisoned in The Tower of Heaven, they soon became great friends. On Jellal’s advice, Erza took the surname Scarlet. They are fiercely loyal to one another.
Gray and Juvia (ninety-nine)
Juvia was instantly smitten with Gray following their first encounter. Gray may be unconcerned by the Water Mage’s approaches, but we all know he’s madly in love with Juvia. Gray’s love for Juvia is confirmed in the sequel to 100 Years Quest.
Miyamura and Hori are ranked 100th and 100th, respectively.
Kyouko Hori, a lovely and genuine student, is well-liked. On the other hand, Miyamura is a reclusive loner who likes to maintain his distance. Despite their diametrically opposed dispositions, they soon became friends and spent time together at Hori’s home.
The best relationship anime is a list of the top 100 best anime couples of all time.
